Odd Socks Day - Anti-Bullying
Our PSHE theme for this half term is 'Celebrating Differences' and part of this work focusses on Anti-Bullying. To mark Anti-Bullying week, we held a special themed day on Tuesday 12th November. It was 'Odd Sock Day'.
We embraced and celebrated the differences and similarities that make us all special. As part of the day, the children and staff had the chance to celebrate this in a positive and fun way by wearing odd socks to school.
As part of this year’s Anti-Bullying campaign, we are urging everyone to think about how we can ‘Choose Respect’ instead of bullying, and how we can demonstrate this behaviour. Through assemblies and class-based activities, we are talking about respect, about showing that you value someone, including valuing their feelings, views, and opinions, even if they differ from yours. We are also talking about accepting and understanding others, giving them the same consideration you would expect for yourself.
As you can see from the photos, we had great fun, learnt so much about Anti-Bullying and saw an interesting variety of socks.
