Holi 2025


On Friday 14th March 2025, as a school, we celebrated the Hindu festival of Holi also known as the festival of colours. All children were invited to wear bright colours on this day and took part in a variety of year group activities ending with a colour run after school. 

F1 - Using traditional music, F1 took part in a colour dance using scarves and ribbons. 

Year 1 and 2 - Children learnt the origins of the Jaipur elephants before creating their own elephant and took part in a small parade to music. 

Year 3 and 4 - Children learnt about the origins and styles of rangoli patterns before creating their own.

Year 5 - Children learnt about the importance of music and colour within Holi before creating a piece of music based on their chosen colour.

Year 6 - Children learnt about the importance of dance (specifically Bollywood) within Holi before taking part in a dance workshop.
