Lunar New Year 2024

On Friday 2nd February 2024, BHPS celebrated Lunar New Year. With this year being the Year of the Dragon, our hall display reflected this.

In Foundation, the children made lanterns which were dispayed in thr dinding  hall.

Year 1 children made the dragon displayed in the main school hall using paper plates.

Year 2 children learnt a chinese dragon dance and song.

In Year 3, the children looked at the different zodiac signsand the animal attributes.

In Year 4, the children who speak Mandarin became the teachers and taught their peers the language.

The children in Year 5 were busy tasting some delicious Chinese dishes.

In Year 6, the children looked at Chinese fables and proverbs. They were treated to a fortune cookie and then made their own paper version, which they handed out to staff during the assembly.

At lunchtime, the kitchen staff provided the children with a traditional Chinese meal.
